CHBA names Dunsire a 2026 Award finalist for Best Entry Level Home.

The Canadian Home Builders' Association (CHBA) has named Dunsire Developments a 2026 National Awards for Housing Excellence finalist in the Best Entry Level Home category — the country's premier recognition for builders making homeownership accessible to first-time buyers.

The CHBA awards are the most established national recognition program for Canadian homebuilders, drawing entries from across the country every year. The Entry Level Home category specifically honours builders who deliver design excellence and quality at price points reachable for first-time and entry-level buyers — a category Dunsire has prioritized since founding in 2010.

What it means Being a CHBA finalist on a national stage validates the affordability commitment that's driven Dunsire from day one — building homes that real Ontario families can actually buy without compromising on craft or quality.

The recognition comes at a moment when housing affordability is the defining policy challenge facing Ontario. While many builders have abandoned the entry-level segment for higher-margin product, Dunsire has continued to anchor a meaningful share of every community to first-time-buyer-accessible homes — including Bromley Gardens in St. Catharines (from $738,000 + HST), Meadow Heights in Port Colborne (from $525,000), and the upcoming Highlands community in Caledon East.

Final winners across all CHBA Award categories will be announced at the National Awards Gala in 2026.

BILD recognizes Dunsire as a 2026 Finalist for Best Model Home.

The Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) has selected Dunsire Developments as a 2026 BILD Awards finalist in the Best Model Home category — recognizing the model home experience as one of the strongest in the Greater Toronto Area homebuilding industry.

The BILD Awards are widely regarded as the most prestigious recognition for residential construction, design, and marketing in the GTA. Every year, BILD members across Ontario submit their best work to a panel of independent judges drawn from architecture, design, marketing, and consumer research — making finalist status a substantive industry endorsement.

The Best Model Home category specifically evaluates the model home as a buyer experience: how clearly it communicates the brand, how well it showcases the floor plan's livability, and how effectively it converts visiting buyers into committed homeowners.

What it means For homebuyers, the model home is the first real touch with a community — it's where you decide whether a builder genuinely understands how people live. BILD finalist status is direct industry validation that Dunsire's model home programs are doing that work well.

The recognition follows continued investment in Dunsire's model home program across the active selling communities — Mira in South Barrie, Meadow Heights in Port Colborne, and Bromley Gardens in St. Catharines — each featuring fully decorated model home environments designed by the Dunsire Décor team in partnership with leading Ontario interior designers.

Final winners will be announced at the BILD Awards in 2026.

Dunsire recertified by Great Place to Work® for 2026-2027.

Dunsire Developments has been recertified by Great Place to Work® Canada for the April 2026 – April 2027 period, and named to four "Best Workplaces" lists for 2025 and 2026 — making Dunsire one of the most recognized employers in the Canadian homebuilding industry.

Great Place to Work® Canada certification is based on anonymous Trust Index employee surveys — it cannot be purchased, only earned. The recertification confirms that Dunsire's employees themselves continue to rate the company as a great place to work for a second consecutive certification cycle.

Alongside recertification, Dunsire has been named to four distinct "Best Workplaces" lists:

2025 & 2026 Recognitions • Best Workplaces in Real Estate & Construction — 2025
• Best Workplaces in Ontario — 2025
• Best Workplaces Led by Women — 2026
• Great Place to Work® Certified — April 2025 to April 2026 + April 2026 to April 2027

The "Best Workplaces Led by Women" recognition is particularly meaningful — it reflects the leadership women hold across Dunsire's construction, sales, finance, and people functions, and the company's commitment to building a team that reflects the communities it builds.

"What makes these recognitions meaningful is that they're driven by our team, not our marketing," says the Dunsire People & Culture team. "Every employee got a chance to rate Dunsire honestly and anonymously — and the answers landed us here. That's the only kind of recognition worth having."

The recognitions arrive as Dunsire is hiring across nine roles — including three director positions, a People & Culture Manager (Maternity Coverage), site supervisor positions across Simcoe and Niagara, and corporate roles at Hamilton headquarters.
