The name Dunsire carries deep personal meaning. It was inspired by the memory of our founder's mother, whose values of hard work, care, humility, and pride continue to shape our company today. That spirit lives within our organization — in the way we care for our homeowners, support our team, and contribute to the communities we help bring to life. We believe every homeowner should feel proud to show their Dunsire home to the people they love most.

Today, together with our trusted partnership with Drewlo Holdings — a respected Ontario builder and developer since 1958 — Dunsire combines entrepreneurial energy with decades of proven experience, stability, and long-term vision. This partnership strengthens our ability to thoughtfully grow while remaining grounded in the values that built our reputation.

As we continue expanding across Ontario through new home communities and purpose-built rentals, our focus remains the same: build quality homes, create exceptional experiences, embrace innovation responsibly, and leave every community better than we found it.

Shawn Keeper, P.Eng

Shawn Keeper founded Dunsire in 2010 with a vision rooted in something deeply personal: creating homes and communities people are truly proud of.

The name "Dunsire" was inspired by Shawn's mother, who passed away when he was 13 years old. Her values, strength, and care for others continue to influence how he leads today. Shawn often says he wants every homeowner, tenant, employee, and trade partner to feel proud to be part of Dunsire — proud enough to show their home, workplace, or community to the people they love most.

Known for his hands-on and approachable leadership style, Shawn remains closely involved in all aspects of the business. Whether walking active construction sites, collaborating with teams, supporting homeowners, or mentoring future leaders, he believes leadership starts with being present, listening, and genuinely caring about people.

A Civil Engineering graduate from the University of Waterloo, Shawn is passionate about continuous learning and growth. His experience spans construction, development, real estate, finance, sustainability, customer experience, and leadership — always driven by curiosity and a desire to improve.

Shawn's partnership with Allan Drewlo and the Drewlo organization has helped support Dunsire's continued growth across Southern Ontario while remaining grounded in the values that built the company in the first place: doing the right thing, taking ownership, moving the conversation forward, and always striving to "Build Wow, Present Wow, Experience Wow."

At its core, Shawn believes a home is far more than bricks and mortar — it is where life happens, memories are made, and communities are built.

Lindsay Ward

Lindsay Ward is Vice President of Dunsire and plays a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the organization. She is passionate about people, culture, and creating exceptional experiences for both employees and homeowners.

Known for her collaborative leadership style, positive energy, and high level of care, Lindsay works closely with every department across the business to help ensure Dunsire continues to grow while staying true to its people-first values. She believes strong communities begin with strong teams and that great experiences are built through trust, communication, accountability, and genuine care for others.

One of Lindsay's greatest passions is helping people grow. Whether supporting employees, mentoring leaders, or helping families through important milestones, she takes pride in creating an environment where people feel supported, valued, and empowered to succeed.

Her leadership has helped shape the culture and customer experience that continue to define Dunsire today.
